THE COMPANY
Autocheck Ltd is a company that formed with the specific objective of operating motor vehicle test centres in Mauritius. It has been selected by the government to operate the centre in Plaine Lauzun. The promoters of Autocheck are experienced businessmen in Mauritius with vast experience in the transport and automobile sectors, and interested in the improvement of road safety in Mauritius.
The plan at Plaine Lauzun is to establish a new state of the art multi-lane testing centre, while the existing Plaine Lauzun centre still operates under the management of the NTA. Once the new centre is completed, it will start operating, and the existing centre will be closed for refurbishment.
Autocheck has decided to enter into strategic partnerships with leaders in the field of vehicle testing.

Member of TÜV SÜD, providing technical support with 21 years of operational experience
Technical support throughout the pre-construction, construction, commissioning and operational phases will be provided by AVTS Roadworthy Stations (Pty) Ltd, member of TÜV SÜD. AVTS is based in Cape Town, South Africa and has been established for 21 years, bringing the operational experience to such an undertaking. TÜV SÜD is a share-holder in AVTS, and brings international experience and a broad base of knowledge. AVTS will provide technical support, training, implementation of a quality management system and advice based on operational experience and lessons learnt in the vehicle inspection industry.

The promoters, management and staff of Autocheck commits itself to be part of the solution and improvement of road safety, and pledge to do everything in its power to improve road safety.

- Autocheck will act with INTEGRITY in all its dealings with its stake-holders, which includes its staff, customers, suppliers, government and the Inspectorate of test stations
- Autocheck will promote the ANTI-CORRUPTION and ANTI-FRAUD charter in their businesses with posters and other visual images
- The management of Autocheck will ensure that systems are implemented and resources provided to ensure that there are sufficient controls within the test station environment to prevent all irregularities
- The management of Autocheck will ensure that everyone involved in the vehicle examination centre takes the ANTI-CORRUPTION PLEDGE; this includes the promoters (owners), management, vehicle examiners, administrative staff and everyone employed at the station
